Energy Resources Educator’s Workshop. The ENERGY RESOURCES
Curriculum unit includes hands-on activities to learn about Michigan’s
energy use and sources, how electricity is generated, renewable and non-renewable
energy resources, energy conservation and efficiency, and environmental
sustainability. Cost: $40 (Curriculum book, materials & lunch included

Apr. 26, 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m.— Spring
Family Fun Day. Come celebrate Earth Day with 4-H families
as we hike the trails, learning about Michigan’s flora and fauna in
the spring. All instruction, equipment and lunch are included in the $6.50
per person cost. RSVP by Apr. 18.
June 27-29 – Women's
Wellness Weekend. Treat yourself or someone you know to a weekend
of relaxation and renewal. The Women’s Wellness Weekend features keynote
speakers, concurrent sessions and program activities that address methods
for dealing with stress, healthy cooking, physical fitness, outdoor recreation,
and opportunities to just have fun, relax and feel pampered! Register
by June 16, 2008.

Welcome
Welcome to Kettunen Center, a complete conference and retreat facility
owned and operated by the Michigan 4-H
Foundation.
Kettunen Center, located on Center Lake in Tustin, Michigan, just 20 minutes
south of Cadillac, offers excellent facilities, a professional staff, modern
meeting rooms and communications equipment to provide a total learning environment
for rewarding exchanges of information and ideas.
Accommodations
• 70 guest rooms that can accommodate
two to four people each.
• 11 meeting rooms accommodating groups
from 18 to 200.
• 12-station computer lab and wireless Internet available.
• Projection screens, whiteboards, easels and lecterns are available
in all meeting areas. Additional audio visual equipment
is available upon request.
• Meal service includes three meals daily
in the dining room and meals are served buffet style. Continuous beverage
service (coffee, water, hot tea and cocoa) is provided in several locations
around the center. Vending machines are also on site.
• On-site sports and recreation facilities
include three miles of groomed hiking trails, a private beach, an athletic
field for softball and football, a sand volleyball court, a basketball court,
and lounges. A fitness room is available that includes weights, a treadmill,
and a stationary bike.
