Workshop.
The ENERGY RESOURCES Curriculum unit includes hands-on activities to learn
about Michigan’s energy use and sources, how electricity is generated,
renewable and non-renewable energy resources, energy conservation and efficiency,
and environmental sustainability. Cost: $40.00 (Curriculum book, materials

Come celebrate Earth Day with 4-H families as we hike the trails, learning
about Michigan’s flora and fauna in the spring. Birds, wildflowers,
mushrooms are at their finest! All instruction, equipment and lunch are

the Illusive Morel and Other Natural Encounters.
Learn to kayak on an inland lake, identify and enjoy spring wildflowers,
forage edible morel mushrooms and go “birding” in Northern Michigan’s
majestic forests.
June 27-29 – Women's Wellness Weekend. Treat yourself
or someone you know to a weekend of relaxation and renewal. The Women’s
Wellness Weekend features keynote speakers, concurrent sessions and program
activities that address methods for dealing with stress, healthy cooking,
physical fitness, outdoor recreation, and opportunities to just have fun,

p.m. — Fall Family Fun Day.
Families are invited for our 4-H Centennial (100th year) Celebration! Spend
the day learning new fishing skills, learning how to kayak and canoe, learning
about freshwater ecology by performing physical and chemical tests to determine
water quality, and by dipping for macro invertebrates. All instruction,
equipment and lunch are included in the $6.50 per person cost. RSVP by Sept.
26.
